This summer, two West Los Angeles College students participated in Base 11’s fellowship program. Paul Grad III spent the summer at University of Southern California’s computer science mentorship program, where he used Google Cardboard to design a virtual reality game.

Juan Sebastian Rodriguez conducted research at Caltech, working a mentor in the Graduate Aerospace Lab at Caltech (GALCIT).

Both Sebastian and Paul transferred to UC Irvine this fall to continue their studies. Meet the West LA students:
