Indeed report on tech jobsSoftware engineers, developers, database managers and similar tech jobs continue to be in great demand. In turn, workers with those desirable skill sets command higher salaries.

But if you’re looking at a career in one of these lucrative fields, it pays to look not just at salaries, but also the cost of living in cities with a high concentration of those jobs. San Francisco and New York, for example, pay their tech workers some of the highest salaries in the industry. But rents in those cities are also higher than average.

Job site Indeed offers a ranking of cities where tech workers earn the most money, based on cost of living and salaries  The results may surprise you.  Check out Indeed’s full report on where the highest paying tech jobs are in the U.S.
