In a Drone Zone
Students from several community colleges around the country who spent the summer at University of California-Irvine building drones early this month presented their projects and flew their drones at an open house.
The students are from Costa Mesa-based Orange Coast College and Dearborn, Mich.-based Henry Ford College. They came to UCI through a fellowship program, courtesy of Base 11, a nonprofit group in Coast Mesa that connects high-potential, low-resource students with employers, colleges and entrepreneurial opportunities.
